I found some apples in a field. They had already fallen off the tree and had lots of deformity and holes pecked in them. Also, being this early, they aren't ripe. But I decided they would be good for trying my hand again at making vinegar. This time, they're staying in my kitchen instead of the garage so I can keep an eye on them and not forget about them...at least until the smell gets too strong.

I didn't realize you could make your own vinegar. Makes sense though. good luck wiht it this time around!
Good luck watching it! Or by smell! I am forgetful...I was making oatmeal on my stove the other day and forgot about it until I smelled burnt oats! love, andrea
What a woman! You are incredibly resourceful, Tiffany. I hope it works out. If so, let me know the recipe. I think for me it might be cheaper to just buy the vinegar, but then again, it's good to know how to make all the things you know how to make in case of a natural disaster or job loss or other problem.
Heather, so far, I can't. lol But someday. :o)
Adrea, I bet that was hard to get scrapped off the pot!
Thanks, Mom. I'll be sure to share if it works. Other people report good results so it's just a matter of time, I think.
I hope that it turns out PERFECT for you this time.
