Youtube

I created a youtube account and posted some videos from my trip. Most are from my bike trip (usually while I was suffering) but I do have a short one of Itai walking, one of Avi being excited and a couple of Aileah trying to roll over. You can view the videos at www.youtube.com/dogsandbikes. I will be adding a few more over the next week or so. Adam filmed me as I got to see the dogs again and the house and as I discovered everything that had gotten done while I was gone. So those are the ones I'll be adding later.

Visiting the family

For almost a week, I was able to spend time with my family. Sheri watches Aileah, Avi & Itai so I was able to see them quite a bit and Valerie came with the kids a few times so I got to see all the kids really. Aileah is new to this mommy working thing so she wasn't very happy about it but I did see some smiles and hear some laughs in there. Such a little cutie! Avi was saying all kinds of new words and Itai was on the verge of walking when I first came out and was taking multiple steps on his own by the time I left. I let him go the last time and he plunged into the corner of the coffee table. I am SOOOO sorry Jared, Debbie & Itai! I'm a bad, bad aunt. :oHopefully it hassn't kept him from walking some more. The Mendoza kids had fun playing with Elisa's costume fabric and trying on some of Uncle Jon's halloween masks and props. He's got some creepy looking stuff! We also played some board games (Shrek Operation, Ker Plunk and Go For Broke). While I was visiting, Dad was able to get his full time position back with a day off to match one of Mom's days off. Congrats, Dad!

So much to write about

I have a ton of things to write about and pictures to show. I flew to Utah 2 weeks ago. I spent time with family, went on a hike with my sister, Valerie, went on an 8 day bike tour and had a birthday party before flying back home. Then when I got home, I was surprised by all the work that Adam, Barry & Lanette have done on the house while I was away. The dogs had to thoroughly inspect me, of course before I could even think about walking around the house though. On the plane ride in, I witnessed some of the floods here in Atlanta. What a mess. Our basement had flooded a little but Lanette, Barry and Adam were at work again and sucked out the water with a dry vac and picked up everything off the floor. So we didn't get hit as badly as some others did. In the following days/weeks, I will update as I'm able about the different things. Stay tuned...
